[FIRST BREAK UP]

He left her with broken promises
A frown upon her face.
He left her with a broken heart
A feeling nothing can replace.

It all started when
She called him that night
He had left her a message
Which gave her a fright.

In this message he said
He had something to say
Though the message was short
In her mind it was engraved.

She had been feeling
Very nervous that day.
His voice had been so sad
It had not sounded gay.

When he answered they talked
About things they had done.
Then they joked and they laughed
And her nervousness eased.

And then she reminded him
Of what he had to say
And the feeling came back
As it had not gone away.

He said he couldn't handle
Not being there with her
He had to much to deal with
They could not be together,
Anymore.

So they talked a little longer
Until it was time to go.
Although her heart was aching
She pushed it down below.

The minute they clicked
She fled from the scene
She ran to a place
Which was much more serene.

When she got to that place
That was ever so dark
She cried and she cried
It had left a faint mark.

As she sat there she thought
Of all the moments they've shared
A broken heart in her hands
Not a memory was spared.

She thought of his kisses
And the first time she gave him one
She thought of the way he made her feel
And how those feelings are gone.

She then stood up.
And walked around a bit.
With confidence broken
She had lost hope to ever recommit.

Then suddenly she realized
What she had not thought of before
She had a chance to experience
That special something every girl could ever hope for.
Love, pure and innocent.
